Provides that the use or unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony against the laws of the United States shall be punishable by a sentence, in addition to that imposed for conviction of the felony, of 5 to 10 years imprisonment.
Reduces the age requirement from 21 to 18 years in the case of a purchase of a firearm who does not appear in person at the licensed dealer's business premises.
Eliminates record keeping provisions with respect to the identity of purchases of ammunition presently imposed under Federal law.
