Drug and Alcohol Dependent Offenders Treatment Act of 1986 - Grants the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts authority to contract with public and private agencies for the detection and treatment of alcohol-dependent and drug-dependent offenders.
Permits the Director to pay for certain presentence studies, reports, and examinations ordered by the court.
Amends the Contract Services for Drug Dependent Federal Offenders Authorization Act of 1978 to authorize appropriations for contracts for the supervision of released drug offenders.
