Medicare Beneficiary Fairness Act of 1986

Medicare Beneficiary Fairness Act of 1986 - Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to provide that the inpatient hospital deductible shall be $400 in the case of any period of illness beginning in 1986 and a method adjusting such amount thereafter.

Provides that the extended care coinsurance amount for any period of illness in any year shall equal one-twelfth of the inpatient hospital deductible for illnesses beginning in such year.
