Amends the Controlled Substances Act to establish penalties for obtaining or attempting to obtain a controlled substance from a pharmacy unlawfully. Increases the penalties if any person's life is endangered by use of a dangerous weapon or if any person is assaulted, maimed or killed during the commission of such offense.
Requires that prosecutions under this Act be approved in writing by the Attorney General or a person to whom authority has been delegated by the Attorney General.
Requires the Department of Justice to include within its annual report to Congress information on the number of indictments returned and convictions obtained pursuant to this Act.
Directs the Federal Bureau of Investigation to include pharmacy robbery data in its annual Uniform Crime Report.
