A bill to make use of a firearm to commit a felony a Federal crime where such use violates State law, and for other purposes.

Amends the Omnibus Crime Control Act of 1970 to extend the scope of the current offense of using or carrying a firearm during commission of a Federal felony to include using or carrying a firearm during commission of any felony, where such use of carrying is unlawful under State law.

Establishes as a new offense the acquisition of any firearm in violation of Federal, State, or local law, subject to a mandatory one year term of imprisonment.
