A bill to amend title XVI of the Social Security Act to direct the Secretary, in determining the extent to which the value of an individual's home is excludable for purposes of establishing his or her eligibility for supplemental security income benefits, to take into account regional variations in the market prices of homes and to make periodic adjustments reflecting changes in land and home values.

Amends title XVI (Supplemental Security Income for the Aged, Blind, and Disabled) of the Social Security Act to require the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare, in determining the reasonable value of the house of an applicant for benefits under such title, to take into account variations in the prevailing market prices of homes as between different regions of the country and as between urban, rural, and other areas within any such region, and to periodically review such determinations.
