A bill to amend section 401 (j) of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 to provide that no air carrier shall discontinue service, in whole or in part, unless such discontinuance is found to be in the public interest by the Civil Aeronautics Board after public hearings.

Amends the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 to prohibit any air carrier from discontinuing any service provided under its certificate of public convenience and necessity unless after notice and hearing the Civil Aeronautics Board finds that such discontinuance is in the public interest.
