A bill to establish a grant program for safety projects at certain general aviation airports.
General Aviation Airport Safety Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Transportation to make grants to airport operators to cover 100 percent of the costs of projects to: (1) mark runways and taxiways or to establish a taxiway guidance system; or (2) to purchase and install visual slope indicators.
Authorizes appropriations in specified amounts out of the Airport and Airway Trust Fund for fiscal years 1978, 1979, and 1980 to carry out such grant program.
