Authorizes the construction of lock and dam numbered 26, Mississippi River, Alton, Illinois and Missouri by the Corp of Engineers in accordance with plans approved by the Secretary of the Army on July 14, 1969. Provides that nothing in the Act shall be construed as authorizing a twelve-post channel above Alton, Illinois.
Authorizes the appropriation of such sums as are necessary to carry out this Act.
