A bill to amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to facilitate the study of the New River for designation as component of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System.

Provides, under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, for a suspension in the granting of permits and licenses to build, or the actual building, of any dam or reservoir, until the study of a segment of the New River in North Carolina and Virginia for designation as a component of the national wild and scenic rivers system has been completed by the Secretary of the Interior.
