Directs the Administrator of General Services to acquire from eligible corporations any copper extracted and refined at assisted facilities as defined under this Act, upon request by such corporation. Sets forth the basis for determining the price to be paid for such acquisitions. States that the Administrator shall not acquire more than 80 percent of the copper production capacity of the assisted facilities of such corporation.
Requires that any refined copper acquired pursuant to this Act be stockpiled pursuant to the provisions of the Critical Materials Stock Piling Act.
