Lobbying Information Act - Requires the registration of those persons employed or retained specifically for the purpose of making covered communications to lobby and who receive income from any other person. Prescribes for information to be included in such registration. Defines the terms used in this Act.
Provides that any matter which expressly solicits persons to lobby by direct communication and: (1) appears in any magazine or newspaper or is broadcast by any radio or television station; and (2) for which any consideration is paid or promised to be paid by any person to such magazine or newspaper in which it appears or to such station by which it is broadcast; shall clearly disclose either on its face or by appropriate identification at the time of such broadcast the person who has paid for or promised to pay for the appearance or broadcast of such matter.
Repeals the Federal Regulation of Lobbying Act.
Provides for criminal penalties of up to $5,000 in fines or imprisonment for up to two years, or both, for willful violations of the provisions of this Act.
Requires various reports to be filed by lobbyists under this Act.
