A bill to authorize a 2-year program of financial assistance for all elementary and secondary schoolchildren in all of the States.
Schoolchildren's Assistance Act - Declares the intent of the Congress to guarantee: (1) the right of the parent to have his child educated in a school of his own choosing; (2) the perpetuation of freedom of choice on all levels of education; and (3) the continuation of the pluralistic system of education currently operative in these United States.
Authorizes appropriations for fiscal years 1974 and 1975 of $50,000 each year for carrying out this Act.
Allots $100 a year to every elementary and secondary student, including private school pupils, under special procedures.
