To inform the Senate that a quorum of the House has assembled and election of the Speaker and the Clerk.

This resolution informs the Senate that a quorum of the House of Representatives has assembled and that Kevin McCarthy and Cheryl L. Johnson have been elected Speaker of the House and Clerk, respectively.

    Resolved, That the Senate be informed that a quorum of the House of 
Representatives has assembled; that Kevin McCarthy, a Representative from the 
State of California, has been elected Speaker; and that Cheryl L. Johnson, a 
citizen of the State of Louisiana, has been elected Clerk of the House of 
Representatives of the One Hundred Eighteenth Congress.
