To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide an exclusion from gross income for AmeriCorps educational awards.
Segal AmeriCorps Education Award Tax Relief Act of 2021
This bill modifies the requirements for calculating taxable income to exclude from gross income any AmeriCorps educational awards provided under the National and Community Service Act of 1990.
Referred to the Committee on Education and Labor, and in addition to the Committee on Ways and Means, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
