A bill to amend titles 10 and 38, United States Code, to make certain improvements to benefits for survivors of deceased graduates of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps, and for other purposes.
Second Lieutenant Richard W. Collins III Memorial Act
This bill requires the Department of Defense to provide the death gratuity and casualty assistance to the survivors of a member of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps who died before receiving a first duty assignment.
The bail provides for the servicemember's group life insurance to any graduate of a reserve officers' training corps who has not received a first duty assignment to automatically insure the person against death.
