To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the use of excessive force under color of law by law enforcement and correctional officers, and for other purposes.
Excessive Force Prevention and Accountability Act of 2020
This bill prohibits and penalizes the intentional or reckless use of excessive force by law enforcement and correctional officers. It also prohibits and penalizes a failure to intervene when another officer uses such excessive force.
