To require certain holders of a certificate of public convenience and necessity issued under the Natural Gas Act to suspend activities authorized by the certificate until violations relating to air quality are remediated, and for other purposes.
Natural Gas Pipeline Public Health Protection Act of 2017
This bill suspends construction of natural gas facilities that have been issued a certificate of public convenience and necessity by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission until violations relating to air quality are remediated.
It applies to a holder of a certificate that has not commenced construction of a facility for which such certificate was issued within the previous two years.
