Constitutional Amendment - Provides that no person who has been elected for a full term to the Senate two consecutive times shall be eligible for election or appointment to the Senate for a third consecutive term. Provides that no person who has been elected for a full term to the House of Representatives six consecutive times shall be eligible for election to the House for a seventh consecutive term.
Considers service for more than half of a term to which someone else was originally elected to be an election for purposes of this amendment. Provides that no election or service occurring before this amendment becomes operative shall be taken into account when determining eligibility for election.
Prohibits any State statute or constitution from diminishing or enhancing the limits set by this amendment.
