A bill to direct the Secretary of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior to provide interpretation and visitor education regarding the rich cultural heritage of the Chama River Gateway Region of northern New Mexico.
Chama River Gateway to the Past Interpretation and Visitor Education Act of 1990 - Directs the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service, and the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the Bureau of Land Management, to implement a program of interpretation and visitor education regarding the prehistoric, historic, and cultural resources on lands they administer within the Chama River Gateway Region in New Mexico. Requires the Secretaries to develop an Interpretation and Visitor Education Plan for the Region. Requires the Secretary of Agriculture to develop part of the Ghost Ranch Living Museum as a visitor center.
Authorizes appropriations.
