To amend the Public Health Service Act to revise and extend the program for the prevention and control of injuries.
Injury Control Act of 1990 - Amends the Public Health Service Act to authorize cooperative agreements and contracts, as well as grants, for injury control research.
Mandates grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts for training regarding injuries.
Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to work in cooperation with public and nonprofit private entities to promote injury control.
Replaces provisions requiring a study concerning childhood injuries with provisions directing the Secretary, through the Director of the Centers for Disease Control, to submit to specified committees of the Congress a report describing the activities conducted or supported under provisions relating to injury control.
Authorizes appropriations to carry out such injury control provisions. Eliminates provisions limiting the percentage of appropriated funds which may be used for Federal administrative expenses.
