To transfer administration of bridges and causeways over navigable waters from the Secretary of Transportation to the Secretary of the Army, and for other purposes.
Bridge Administration Transfer Act - Transfers from the Secretary of Transportation to the Secretary of the Army, with specified exceptions, the administration of bridges and causeways over navigable waters, including all related authority, functions, and duties. Makes such transfer effective one year after enactment, or on earlier dates the Secretary of the Army prescribes and publishes in the Federal Register.
Makes conforming amendments to the Rivers and Harbors Appropriations Act of 1899, the Bridge Act of 1906, the Truman-Hobbs Act, the General Bridge Act of 1946, the International Bridge Act of 1972, and other Federal law.
Directs the Secretary of the Army to submit to the Congress a compilation of Federal laws relating to waterway structure administration, together with recommendations for consolidation or amendments.
