A bill to establish a commission on intercollegiate athletics.
Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics Act of 1987 - Establishes the Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics to investigate and advise the President and the Congress regarding issues related to intercollegiate athletic programs in the United States, including: (1) the relationship between athletic participation and academic performance; (2) the impact of television on athletics; (3) the use of drugs by athletes; and (4) the extent of the involvement of government in intercollegiate athletics.
Requires the Commission to transmit a report to the President and the Congress containing a detailed statement of the findings and conclusions of the Commission resulting from such investigation.
