A bill to expand and improve the optional acreage diversion program for the 1987 and 1988 crops of wheat and feed grains.
Optional Acreage Diversion Act of 1987 - Amends the Agricultural Act of 1949, effective for the 1987 and 1988 wheat and feed grain crops, to provide that a producer who devotes any amount in excess of 50 percent of permitted wheat or feed grain acreage to conservation use shall receive deficiency payments at a bushel-rate established by the Secretary of Agriculture (but not less than the projected rate for such crop).
