Declares that the Senate: (1) recognizes the right of the people of Ukraine, Lithuania, Romania, Czechoslovakia, and other Soviet-bloc Eastern European countries to have religious freedom; and (2) deplores the refusal by the Soviet Union and Romania to recognize the Byzantine Rite Catholic Church and the refusal by those countries to restore Church property.
Expresses the sense of the Senate that the President should instruct the U.S. delegation to the Review Meeting of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe to press the restoration of the Church and freedom of all religions.
