A bill to promote interstate commerce by regulating the contractual arrangements between suppliers and dealers of office products, and for other purposes.
Office Products User Protection Act - Title I: Duties of Suppliers and Manufacturers - Declares that any supplier who enters into a dealer agreement must provide parts, supplies and technical information to the dealer for the longer of five years from installation or the period of any of the dealer's existing customer maintenance agreements. Requires manufacturers of office products to make parts and supplies available to dealers for five years.
Title II: Miscellaneous Provisions - Permits a dealer to sue a supplier for damages in Federal district court for failure to comply with provisions of this Act. Requires such suits to be brought within three years.
States that this Act shall not be construed to modify any provision of the antitrust laws.
