A bill to amend the Public Health Service Act to establish school-based adolescent health services demonstration projects.
School-based Adolescent Health Act of 1986 - Amends the Public Health Service Act to establish a new title XXI (School-based Adolescent Health Demonstration Projects). Authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to make grants to establish school-based adolescent health demonstration projects to provide health education, prenatal care, family planning, follow-up care, testing for sexually-transmitted diseases, and other health services.
Requires grant recipients to provide health care services: (1) on a year-round basis; and (2) within (or adjacent to) schools located in the project area (or at a location which better serves the needs of the adolescents).
Sets forth grant application requirements.
Authorizes appropriations for FY 1987 through 1990.
