A bill to authorize assistance to combat terrorism in Central America, and for other purposes.
Central American Counterterrorism Act of 1985 - Authorizes additional appropriations for military assistance and for antiterrorism assistance for El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, and Guatemala. Earmarks a specified portion of the antiterrorism funds for a Counterterrorism Protection Fund to reimburse persons, agencies, or governments for protecting persons who provide assistance or information relating to terrorist incidents.
Prohibits using any of funds authorized by this Act to furnish defense articles or commodities to Guatemala until a civilian government is elected.
