A resolution expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the amount and timing of the annual cost-of-living adjustment currently provided under the Social Security Act should be preserved.

States that no legislation should be considered by the House of Representatives with respect to FY 1985 through 1987 which: (1) would result in determining a cost-of-living increase under title II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) of the Social Security Act on any basis other than the Consumer Price Index; (2) would delay the effective date for such increase; or (3) would eliminate or limit such increase.
