Continuation Health Coverage Technical Amendments of 1986 - Amends the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 to make technical amendments relating to continuation of employer-based health insurance coverage.
Revises the effect of modifications to plan coverage.

Establishes a grace period for payment of premiums.
Provides for termination of continuation coverage upon coverage by another group health plan rather than upon reemployment or remarriage.
