A bill to improve congressional oversight of Federal facilities and provide certain rules of the House of Representatives and of the Senate with respect to such facilities, and for other purposes.
Oversight of Federal Detention Facilities Act of 1985 - Requires Federal agencies which determine the need to acquire, build, convert, or expand a detention facility to notify the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Senate after the completion of an environmental impact statement or the conclusion of public hearings. Sets forth the veto procedure if the Congress disapproves any such proposal.
