A bill to amend the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 to improve the financial solvency of multiemployer pension plans, and for other purposes.
Multiemployer Pension Plan Reform Act of 1986 - Amends the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) to require multiemployer pension plan actuaries to assume a specified interest rate in determining the unfunded vested benefits of a multiemployer pension plan for purposes of determining an employer's withdrawal liability under special provisions for multiemployer pension plans under ERISA provisions relating to plan termination insurance.
