Housing Income Verification Act of 1986 - Authorizes the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to require Department of Housing and Urban Development program applicants or participants to disclose their social security or employer identification numbers.
Authorizes the Secretary to use information provided by program applicants or participants to verify eligibility or benefit levels. Requires that such persons be afforded notification, privacy of individually identifiable information, and independent verification of information.
