A bill to provide for inter-regional primary elections and caucuses for selection of delegates to political party presidential nominating conventions.
Inter-regional Presidential Primary and Caucus Act of 1986 - Declares that delegates to national conventions for the nomination of presidential and vice presidential candidates shall be selected by primary election or by caucus, as provided by State law.
Staggers the times of regional primary elections and caucuses beginning with the second Tuesday in March of a presidential election year and ending with the second Tuesday in June. Establishes six regions comprised of six subregions (each comprised of a State or group of States). Provides for the order of primaries and caucuses.
