A bill to require fair disclosure by sellers of satellite earth stations of private satellite viewing rights under Federal law.
Satellite Viewing Rights Fair Disclosure Act of 1985 - Specifies information on limitations on the use of satellite earth stations which must be disclosed by any person engaged in the retail sale of equipment capable of intercepting or receiving satellite cable programming for private viewing. Requires such disclosure through public notice at the point of sale and through a written disclosure provided with a contract for purchase.
