A bill to provide financial assistance to State and local educational agencies for the development and expansion of demonstration chemical substance abuse prevention programs in the public elementary and secondary schools of such agencies, and for other purposes.
Student Chemical Substance Abuse Prevention Act of 1986 - Authorizes the Secretary of Education to make grants to State and local educational agencies for demonstration projects designed to develop and expand drug and alcohol abuse prevention programs in public elementary and secondary schools.
Sets forth demonstration program elements, application approval criteria, and reporting and evaluation requirements for such grants program.
Authorizes appropriations for FY 1987 through 1990.
