A bill to require studies with respect to the effect of increased automation in the workplace on the rate of unemployment and with respect to the effect of such increased automation in the workplace on the amount of revenues available to, and the amount of benefits paid under, the programs under titles II and XVIII of the Social Security Act.

Directs the Secretary of Labor to undertake a study on the effect of increased automation in the workplace on the extent of unemployment in the United States.

Directs the Secretary of the Treasury to undertake a study on the effect of increased automation in the workplace on the amount of revenues collected from self-employment income taxes and Federal insurance contributions under the Internal Revenue Code.

Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to undertake a study on the effect of increased automation in the workplace on the amount of benefits paid under titles II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) and XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act.

Requires the Comptroller General of the United States to undertake an independent study concerning such previous matters. Requires each of the aforementioned Secretaries to cooperate fully with the Comptroller General in providing the information necessary for such study.

Requires each such Secretary and the Comptroller General to report to the appropriate congressional committees on the results of their respective studies, together with recommendations, within 180 days after the enactment of this Act.
