New GI Bill Amendments of 1985 - Expands the basic educational assistance entitlement for individuals on active duty and individuals participating in the active-and-reserve program to include any individual who is a member of the armed forces on the date of enactment of this Act and meets all additional requirements.
Modifies the requirements of the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve to provide that the eligibility period begins with the date of the enactment of this Act.
