Amends the law regarding highway bridge replacement and rehabilitation to authorize the Secretary of Transportation to approve Federal participation in the construction of bridges intended to replace ferryboat service whenever a State applies for Federal assistance.
Provides that the Federal share payable for such highway bridge construction shall be 80 percent of the cost.
