Endorses the statements of the Secretary of State that: (1) the system of apartheid in South Africa is "totally repugnant to the people of the United States"; (2) the most recent killings "underline how evil and unacceptable apartheid is"; and (3) the most recent act of violence of the South African police is "deplorable and the people of the United States have nothing except denunciation to say for it."
Requests the Secretary to conduct an independent investigation of the violence in the Eastern Cape area of South Africa between March 21 and March 24, 1985, and to submit a report to the Congress by April 30, 1985, on the circumstances relating to the violence.
