A resolution expressing the sense of the Senate that immediate action should be taken to provide temporary emergency assistance for farmers and others adversely affected by the drought.

Expresses the sense of the Senate that the President should use his authority to designate farming communities especially hard-hit by the current drought as eligible for Federal disaster assistance.

Expresses the sense of the Senate that the President, the Secretary of Agriculture, and the Administrator of the Small Business Administration should use their existing authorities to assist farmers in drought areas and to strengthen U.S. agriculture.
