A bill to secure the right of individuals to the free exercise of religion guaranteed by the first amendment of the Constitution.
Voluntary Prayer and Religious Meditation Act of 1983 - Grants every individual the right to participate in the free exercise of voluntary prayer or religious meditation in any public building or building supported by Federal funds.
Prohibits any Federal or state agency from abridging such right.
Authorizes aggrieved persons to bring an action in Federal court for damages or equitable relief.
