A bill to authorize appropriations for fiscal years 1984 and 1985 for the Department of State.
Department of State Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1984 and 1985 - Authorizes appropriations for FY 1984 and 1985 for: (1) administration of foreign affairs; (2) international organizations and conferences; (3) international commissions; and (4) migration and refuge assistance and other activities.
Removes the 4.5 percent yearly limitation on expense payments to the International Bureau of Intellectual Property.
Authorizes appropriations to the Department of State for payment by the United States of its share of the expenses of the United Nations peacekeeping forces (currently for such forces in the Middle East).
Amends the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 to authorize the Secretary of State to allocate or transfer to any U.S. department, agency, or establishment funds appropriated to the Department of State for the purposes for which the funds were appropriated.
Repeals specified reporting requirements imposed upon the Secretary of State.
