A bill to extend the Appalachian Regional Development Act to provide transitional assistance to the Appalachian region.
Appalachian Transition Assistance Act of 1984 - Amends the Appalachian Regional Development Act of 1985 to extend through FY 1987 the authorization of appropriations for: (1) administrative expenses of the Appalachian Regional Commission; and (2) the Appalachian development highway system and local access roads. Authorizes appropriations to the President through FY 1987 to carry out the purposes of such Act.
