A bill to require the Administrator of Veterans' Affairs to establish an experimental program to determine the feasibility of furnishing diagnostic health-care services to certain veterans in areas of the United States that are geographically remote from health-care facilities of the Veterans' Administration.
Veterans' Diagnostic Services Experiment Act of 1983 - Directs the Administrator of Veterans Affairs to establish an experimental program to determine the economic and functional feasibility of furnishing diagnostic health-care services to eligible veterans in a remote area. States that such program shall run from January 1, 1984, through January 1, 1987.
Requires the Administrator to enter into a contract with a health-care facility in Aroostook County, Maine, to serve as a diagnostic clinic.
Requires the Administrator to establish an advisory committee to advise him on operating procedures and requirements. Directs such committee to report to the Administrator annually.
Directs the Administrator to report to the Veterans' Affairs Committees by July 1, 1986, on the operation of the program.
