A bill to amend title 18 of the United States Code to provide for Federal assistance to state registration of habitual sex offenders, and for other purposes.
Child Molester Registration Act of 1984 - Amends the Federal criminal code to provide that any person subject to special parole who fails to register as required by State law shall be fined not more than $5,000 or imprisoned for not more than two years.
Defines "special parole" as a condition of parole imposed by a State court upon a person convicted of an offense involving sexually motivated violence that such person register his presence with a local authority.
