A bill to amend the Packers and Stockyards Act, 1921, to require the prompt payment of live poultry growers by live poultry processors.
Contract Chicken Growers Protection Amendment of 1984 - Amends the Packers and Stockyards Act, 1921 to require poultry processors to pay their contract growers within seven days of delivery, unless otherwise agreed to (up to a maximum of 30 days).
Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to enforce such requirement through existing provisions of such Act.
