A bill to transfer the Appalachian Development Highway System to the Secretary of Transportation.
Appalachian Development Highway System Amendments of 1983 - Transfers to the Secretary of Transportation all functions, powers, and duties of the Appalachian Regional Commission that relate to the Appalachian Development Highway System.
Amends the Appalachian Regional Development Act of 1965 to authorize appropriations out of the Highway Trust Fund for FY 1984 through 1986 for the development of projects on such System. Increases from 70 to 80 percent the Federal share of such projects.
