A bill to make certain changes in the membership and operations of the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations.
Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations Amendments of 1984 - Increases the number of members of the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations by adding: (1) single representatives of Indian tribal governments, school board officials, local governments, regional governments, the Federal judiciary, and the State judiciary; (2) two additional private citizen members; and (3) one additional member from each of the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the State legislatures. Allows the voluntary resignation of Commission members.
Increases the quorum requirement to 18 members. Prohibits the Commission from issuing any report or recommendation unless a quorum votes on its approval. Prohibits members from voting by proxies or alternates.
Authorizes the Commission to procure and provide compensation for temporary and intermittent services as provided for other Federal agencies.
Directs the Commission to issue bylaws governing its operations and procedures within 120 days after enactment of this Act.
Authorizes appropriations for the Commission for FY 1985 through 1989.
