A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to limit the increase in hospital costs to the increase in the marketbasket of hospital costs and for other purposes.
Medicare Hospital Marketbasket Adjustment Act - Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to limit the increase in hospital costs to the increase in the marketbasket of hospital costs. (Current law provides that the rate of increase for hospitals shall be the marketbasket plus one percent.)
Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to report to Congress annually on the introduction of new health care technologies.
